Currie, Balerno and District Round Table helps local man reach new heights for Education For the Children

Matt Young, a local resident, recently completed a two day challenge involving mountain biking and hill climbing in Snowdonia National Park.  Day 1 consisted of a 35 mile mountain bile trail that required a total hill climb of 3500 feet, followed by a climb up mount Snowdon.  Day 2 consisted of a 40 mile mountain bike trail including a quarry accent and decent with a total hill climb of 3800 feet, followed by a 4 mile ridge walk.   The aim of the challenge was to raise over £10,000 pounds for EFTCF (www.eftc.org.uk), and CBDRT was one of Matt’s many sponsors.
