Round Table Fireworks – get your tickets for 5th November 2016 !
The annual Currie fireworks display, organised by the Currie, Balerno and District Round Table (CBDRT), will take place on Saturday 5th November at George V Park in Currie, EH14 5RT.
Last year’s spectacular display was described by many as one of the best local events of the season – and all the ‘profit’ generated goes to support local events and good causes. CBDRT, who also organise the local Santa Runs and the Currie Beer Festival, have distributed over £10,000 to good causes in the last year.
This year, the fireworks will once again be provided by the fantastic ‘Pyromancers’, who have been long-term supporters of this community event. The fun will start when the gates open at 6.30pm and we’ll have food on sale from Sandy’s Thriepmuir Lamb burger van along with glow-sticks and bracelets on sale for the kids (and the adults!). The fireworks will start at about 7.15pm.
So, come along and enjoy the show while helping to raise money for charities and other deserving causes. Remember, the best view is from inside the park – and if you aren’t in the park, you aren’t helping to meet the costs of the display (about £3,500) and the fundraising for good causes from ticket sales.
Early Bird Tickets cost for just £4 per adult in advance (from Currie and Balerno Post Offices), or £5 at the gate. All accompanying children are free, but the organisers ask unaccompanied teens to donate £1 at the gate. Please remember, this isn’t a commercial or public sector venture and, the proceeds after costs go to good causes.
“If, like me, you love fireworks displays, then there’s only one place to be on November the 5th this year, and that’s Currie !
